Update:
We have been blessed these past weeks with gentle rain for our new
garden. The fence has been painted ('Slate')by Phyllis Tresidder and Staff
Sergeant Joanne Savoie, who is the Community Crime Manager for this area.
St. George's work party has painted the window trim in a matching shade to
complete the 'picture frame' for our garden. Four benches have been
ordered from Hauser's. Landscaper John Turner has replaced the sod around
the Cenotaph. We are thankful for the 38 volunteers who worked hard.
People came from all age groups, from many countries, from 'all conditions
of men', just as our Prayer Book says. Councillor Brian McHattie and his
wife Dr. Elaine Blau joined in too. The Guild gave the workers a wonderful
BBQ. Thank you. To God Be the Glory for this positive community building
experience.
