Sunday School

Every Sunday
10:30 am

Children leave the church service at the second hymn and proceed to an open session Sunday School with a varied program of Bible lessons, singing, prayers, crafts, videos and dramatizations. For ages 3 to 14. No Sunday School during July and August.

A Sunday School Christmas party is held each year for the children and their families.

A Youth Day is held during the Autumn and again during March Break for older youth, ages 11 to 16. Watch this page for details.


Adult Groups and Activities

Work Crew
These men and women maintain and enhance the church building by painting, cleaning, gardening, constructing, and sharing ideas on upkeep. Afterwards they meet for lunch at a local restaurant.
No meetings during July and August.

Afternoon Guild
Church women gather for fundraising, charity work and fellowship.
Meetings are in the Parish Hall and the Guild welcomes new members.

Book Club
A book a month, from classic to contemporary, selected by the members. Recent authors have included Mitch Albom, Jane Austen, Darren Bock, Margaret Craven, Charles Dickens, George Eliot, Thomas Hardy, Jack Higgins, Margaret Laurence, Barbara Pym, Dai Sijie, and John Steinbeck.
The Club is open to all, not just members of St George's. Come and bring a friend. Come and recommend a book.

St George's Women
This is our newest club, inspired by the recent visit of Mrs Gale Hill, Chair of the Reformed Episcopal Church Committee on Women's Work. Short devotional followed by activity and discussion on the theme of the day. Recent themes have included Friendships, Keepsakes, Mothers and Others. Light refreshments are served. Come and bring a friend. Come and recommend a theme, or even coordinate a meeting.
