Book Club Schedule 2023-4
We meet in the Parish Hall. Come! Everybody! Tell your friends. It’s not necessary to belong to the church to come. It’s for everyone. We will continue meeting on the third Tuesday of the month from September-June, 1:30-
3:00. No December meeting.
Sept. 19- The Murder of Roger Ackroyd by Agatha Christie.
Oct. 17 – Three Funeral s For My Father by Jolie Phuong Hoang
Author Jolie Phuong Hoang plans to join us for the discussion about her book which we have chosen for October. Jolie has told her story of escape from Vietnam when she was sixteen years old. She has written it as a loving salute to the lessons her father taught her.
Nov. 21 – The Places In Between by Rory Stewart.
(About travels in Afghanistan.)
Jan.16 – The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Annie Barrows and Mary Ann Shaffer.
Feb.20 – The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd.
March 19- To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee.
April 16 – Peace Like A River by Leif Enger.
May 21 – Remains of the Day by Kazuo Ishiguro
June 18 – Cutting for Stone by Abraham Verghese.
As always, we hope that you or someone you know might like to join us. It’s a large table, we have lots of
chairs, several teapots and lots of colourful mugs! Not necessary to read the book. Some of us come for the
discussion and the friendship. However you choose to do it we are waiting for you.
